May this story teach us all a lesson about forgiveness.
A year ago, Twitter user GavBurl, struggling with the loss of Steve Irwin, threatened to punch a stingray floating in an aquarium touch pool to defend Irwin's honor.

"I should punch it though just to let it know Steve Irwin still got shooters out here," he said. Irwin was killed in 2006 after a stingray attacked him.
But yesterday GavBurl sought forgiveness.
With a heartfelt apology to the innocent stingray, who he affectionately called a water pancake, he made peace and ended "the cycle of violence" he had created.
It doesn't get much better than "I love you Water Pancake."
